Take a minute: What do you think when someone says "skincare"? More often than not, you'd think about your face. And it's true, a lot of people put extra effort in taking care of their complexion, while neglecting other parts of their bodies. Including their hands!
It is said that hands often betray a women's age, so having beautiful, smooth, manicured hands are just as important as taking care of the skin on your face. This is especially if you like flaunting our pretty rings and baubles!
START A ROUTINE
It might seem overwhelming when you think about starting a hand care “routine” but there are lots of little habits that you can incorporate into your daily life that will improve the feel and look of your hands. For us, one of the easiest ways to remind ourselves to moisturise is to place small bottles of lotion especially by the kitchen and bathroom sinks.
So after washing your hands, rub in sweet smelling lotion to rehydrate the skin. It's a simple tip but one that really works! Carrying a small bottle of lotion in your purse or handbag also makes it easy to moisturise on the go.
NOURISH YOUR NAILS
Pretty hands also mean that you have to pay attention to nailcare, and keep those cuticles in good shape. Cuticles, or the thin and flexible skin around the bottom of your nail beds, are a key part of nail health – they protect your nails. Try moisturising them with essential oils or cuticle oils that you can get from your regular manicure haunt.
Every so often, indulge a little and have a manicure. It’ll improve the health of your digits and your fingers will look fab, especially when you have beautiful sparkly jewels to set them off. Simple things do make a difference, hand care is almost similar to any beauty routine, where consistency is key.
Till the next post, have a wonderful day, Dolls!
